Need some holiday gift ideas for children? Then take a look at The Canadian Toy Testing Council's report for 2011.

The Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC) is a non-profit, charitable organization that offers evaluations of toys tested by children in everyday settings, to assess design, function, durability and play value. Every year, hundreds of toys are selected as representative of those being offered on the market.

CTTC rates each toy, awarding Three Stars, Two Stars, One Star, Novelty or Not Recommended.You can find the ratings and a review of each toy tested in 2011 edition of the Toy Report, published by the CTTC. The Council also have awards for Children's Choice & Best Bets

The Council also reviews and evaluates Canadian children's books to promote child literacy.
