Commodore 64 resurrects with 21st century features, while keeping its retro design

Legendary computer of 80's is back with a lot of surprises! You will still be able to play your favourite 8-bit games like Hunchback, Neptune's Daughter or even Sid Meier's Pirates! on the brand new Commodore 64 thanks to a C64 emulator. On the other hand you will be able to enjoy Blu-ray movies on HDTV's as well!

New Commodore 64 comes in the original taupe brown/beige color & retro design. The keys are the exact same shape as the original with an IBM classic mechanism and click sound. It even comes pre-loaded with Commodore Operating System, Workbench 5. You can install Windows Vista or 7 later if you like.

Besides those nostalgic touches, the new Commodore 64 features a Dual Core 525 Atom processor and the Nvidia Ion2 graphics chipset under its bonnet. This multi-functional PC comes with 2 GB of DDR3 memory (max. 4 GB). It also features a slot or tray load DVD R/W & offers a Blu-ray player option.

A multi format card reader/writer and a USB slot are provided on the right side panel. Also there are additional 4 USB slots on the rear for extra peripherals. The new Commodore 64 can be connected to the Full HD TV's, thanks to its HDMI port. It can deliver 1080p HD quality video playback and 6 Channel High Definition Audio

Price & launch date of the new Commodore 64 to be announced on Commodore USA web site. I suppose it will be announced in international Consumer Electronics Show in January 2011. Let's wait & see...
