Nothing left in the fridge, shall we eat the house?

In this age of sustainability nothing should be wasted, even the walls & roof of your house! At least three Dutch architects think that way. Behold the EATHOUSE, an edible house with edible garden...

A project by architects Marijke Bruinsma (de Stuurlui stedenbouw) with Marjan van Capelle and Arjen de Groot (Atelier GRAS!), EATHOUSE (or Eethuis in Dutch) consists of "a modular system of plain plastic crates, which used in the agricultural industry to harvest, transport and exhibit fruit and vegetables in combination with a scaffold structure" according to the architects' description.

EATHOUSE could be a major milestone in Permaculture. Don't you agree?
